Move-Out Cleaning Checklist for Parker County Renters and Sellers

Before you start

Move everything out first, including the garage. Turn the utilities off last, after the clean, so there is hot water and light. Take dated photos of every room when you are done.

Kitchen

• Inside and outside of every cabinet and drawer
• Inside the oven, including racks and the drawer underneath
• Inside the refrigerator and freezer, pulled out and cleaned behind
• Dishwasher filter and door edges
• Range hood filter and underside
• Sink, disposal flange, faucet base
• Backsplash and the wall behind the stove

Bathrooms

• Grout and caulk lines, tub and shower walls to the ceiling
• Shower door tracks
• Toilet base and behind the tank
• Inside the vanity and medicine cabinet
• Exhaust fan cover
• Mirrors and light fixtures

Every room

• Baseboards, door frames, and the tops of doors
• Light switches, outlet covers, and the wall around them
• Window sills, tracks, and blinds
• Ceiling fans and vent covers
• Closet shelves and rods
• Nail holes patched if your lease requires it
• Floors last: vacuum, then mop

Garage and outside

• Sweep the garage, including the corners and along the door track
• Remove oil stains if possible
• Porch and entry swept, cobwebs down
• Trash cans emptied and rinsed
